Bio-Filter

Today, Kevin made stands to support the air manifold and rocks about 8″ off the bottom.

The air manifold was made from 1/2″ pvc.  Dry fit and check the fit on your stand. Pay close attention to your glue joints here       ( you don’t want them blowing apart from the pressure of compressed air ). Time to drill, drill and drill somemore. I think we figured about 800 holes. A 1/2″ stand pipe will come out the top of the bio-filter to supply compressed air for cleanout. You will need about 4cfm from a compressor. If you don’t use an “oil-less” compressor, you should get an oil seperator for the air-line.
